football, football and more football

Here in the South, we love our football. Undeniably the best conference, SEC fans are die- hard. It is truly a religion, especially when you live in a college town. There have been times when we have stopped at the store to pick up a few last minute tailgate essentials that I have seen families doing their weekly shopping and wondered- WTF?! Don't these people realize there is a home game today?! This town transforms those 7 Saturdays a year. The other 45 Saturdays we spend preparing for those 7.

Not all of our friends are UGA fans- which is okay since it provides for interesting rivalary as well as party options on weekends when our team is off. Bowl games are no exception. It is some of the best weekends of the year- some adult beverages, a dip made with velveeta and lots and lots of football. As foorball season draws to a close, I find myself a little sad and counting down the days until I can start it all over again.

I know that I am supposed to cheer for our conference in the bowl games, but truthfully, I am still a little bitter about our losses this year. I am glad Alabama got their a$$ handed to them. Tech? Talk about ringing in a new year! And just for good measure, SC? Always fun when Spurrier has a reason to throw the visor. I am hoping Oklahoma can pull off a similar feat... Bite this Tebow.

Some of our friends are Clemson fans. We were invited to their house to watch Clemson and South Carolina play last year. This photo was taken then. Yes, my two year old was wearing a shirt that has the work c*ck on it. Classy, no?
